Build a Dinosaur {Craft Tutorial}

I was flipping through our “Little Library Dinosuars” book with my daughter the other day and came upon an activity page. She was instantly excited to build her own dinosaur so we got to work gathering supplies.

MATERIALS:
• Card stock (we didn’t have card stock so we used a fast food box)
• Tracing paper (optional for the artistically challenged)
• Scissors
• Paints and/or markers
———–
The directions suggest using tracing paper but I freehanded the basic form of the body and legs. The concept is simply cutting a slot in the body and inserting the other two pieces for legs. One set of legs is longer so your dino stands up tall. You could easily apply this format to any four-legged animal!
Take out the paints and let your little artist go to work!
I really like this. Such a fun way to have one on one time with the little one and educational too
looks like fun! my son and grandson would love this!
That’s a cool craft that my boys would love.
Your daughter is quite talented….nice dinos! I like how they stand up and you can play with them that way. Great craft!
How fun!
Thank you for the idea.
We love dinosaurs! What a fun project. I could see us making a whole collection.
What a cute and affordable craft. Thank you for sharing.
