Summer is in full swing and with that comes all of the fun kids’ activities and summer camp opportunities. Do your kids look forward to camp each year? I attended an amazing youth camp in Northern Minnesota from third grade all the way through high school where I eventually was a youth staffer. They’re some of my best memories. Although my 7-year old isn’t quite ready to stay overnight, we do a variety of other day camps throughout the summer. It’s always fun to get a few new outfits for our summer camp needs. The Children’s Place asked me to share some of their summer camp essentials. They have a great selection of kids’ clothes and mid-summer they always have amazing sales both in-store and online.
Each year we spend a weekend family camping in my in-law’s yard. My daughter gets so excited to use her sleeping bag. We got this adorable donut shirt and comfy cropped sweatpants for our trip up north. I was also in search of some comfortable and affordable sunglasses for her. I couldn’t pass up this pair for less than $2.00! Although the girls’ sunglasses were cute she didn’t like how they fit. These were comfortable, cute and will be great for soccer camp later this month.
I love the positive message on so many of their girls’ shirts as well as these adorable cropped pants with the design “Stay cool, be you.”
I’ve always loved The Children’s Place pajamas for my littlest ones and these big kids styles are perfect for your child attending an overnight camp. They’re cute, comfy, modest and affordable.
You’ll likely need to include a light jacket for time around the campfire.
We’re finally having hot summer days here in Minnesota so we enjoy getting out to enjoy the sunshine as often as we can. Whether you’re looking for summer camp essentials or just casual clothes for your back yard play time, The Children’s Place has some adorable styles on sale right now.
I couldn’t pass up this bold and sparkly popsicle tank top and matching rainbow striped shorts. My daughter loved that it had sequins and I loved that it wasn’t glitter.
This Children’s Place had a great selection of kids’ sandals including these fun patterns. My daughter has a wide foot so the girls’ styles didn’t fit her. I was thrilled to find that the boys’ sandals had a wider fit and she loved them.
The Children’s Place has all of their clothing styles divided by girls and boys both online and in the store, but since blue is one of my own favorite colors I encouraged my daughter to browse the boy’s section as well. She came home with her absolute favorite outfit from our shopping trip.
We both giggled at this adorable boys top and loved the bright colors. We found a matching pair of athletic shorts which will be perfect for soccer camp. She found a pair of boys’ blue sunglasses that matched (we can always use an extra pair) as well as the blue flip flop sandals I mentioned earlier. Before we knew it we had a full blue outfit which she loved from head to toe!
She was so excited about this outfit she was begging to wear it home. Hooray for a non-pink or purple outfit in our drawer and something completely appropriate for soccer camp. She’s loving the cool shades.
Of course The Children’s Place has a great selection of girls tops as well. I thought some of these would be perfect for acting camp (which we did for the first time this year and LOVED). The first shirt below says “CALL MY AGENT.” Maybe you have a child going to dance camp (ballet or maybe jazz?), or art camp (look at that stunning horse set in watercolors with a double exposed image), or maybe overnight camp for the first time.
Don’t forget baby! I couldn’t resist this adorable butterfly romper for my 1-year old. She was cool and comfy on this hot, summer day.
What types of summer camps do your kids have planned this year?
