My boys love to help me in the kitchen, especially when I’m baking. My six and two year old will never turn down the opportunity to dump in the ingredients, stir, decorate or sneak a taste. While they do a surprising good job helping, they do get a bit messy. A simple apron can make all the difference. They both love to wear an apron so they can be more like me.

Jamie of Some of This and That has created the perfect apron for boys that you can make yourself!

Fold main color fabric in half and place the long end of the pattern even with the folded edge of fabric. Pin into place and cut fabric out. Repeat this process with the coordinating fabric.

Boys Superhero Apron Instructions

Place each piece of fabric together “pretty” side in. Cut each strip of ribbon and place them on the inside of the folded fabric, ¼ inch from the edges. To make the sewing easier, pin the straps into place to avoid them from moving.

Pin around the entire apron.
