DIY Glitter Magnets : Easy Craft Tutorial

These DIY glitter magnets are surprisingly easy to make. Imagine making some for your child’s locker for back to school, as homemade holiday gifts or as just a fun project. This nail polish craft is also a fun project for kids of all ages, including teens.  Since you can find virtually any color of nail polish you can imagine, it would be easy to design colorful color schemes. Jamie Satterwaite has once again shared a super easy craft!

Imagine switching them out during different holidays. Red, white and blue for patriotic holidays.  Orange, purple and black for Halloween. Red, green, silver and gold for Christmas. Red, pink and white for Valentine’s Day. I could go on and on!

Clear Glass Pebbles
Magnetic Tape
Nail Polish
Clear Nail Polish
Scissors

The magnetic squares will probably need to be cut down to fit the pebbles.

Flip your glass pebbles so that they are flat side up. Paint the flat side with nail polish. If using a clear polish that is glittery, you will also need a coordinating solid color so that the magnet does not show through.

  1. They also have colored ones they sell in bags at are local dollar store, so you wouldn’t have to paint them at all. I love this idea, easy to make and great way to add character to the fridge or anything else.

  2. Those are so pretty! This would be nice to make so I have cute magnets to hang up my grandson’s work from school.

  3. Such a simple project with such nice results. My girls are really going to enjoy making these. And my husband is probably going to wonder where the refrigerator is under all those shiny baubles.

  4. SO easy! I wonder if the adhesive on the magnetic tape would be strong enough at my house, my girls play with the magnets at least once a day. This makes a great DIY christmas gift idea.
