It is now officially fall. For me that means cooler temperatures, scarves and of course pumpkin or apple flavored everything! Why not celebrate the new season with a fun apple craft? This easy apple craft with paint from Danielle Woods is a perfect way to say hello to fall!

Easy Apple Craft Supplies

Directions

Draw an apple shape on your cakeboard using a pencil. Don’t worry about the exact shape, I don’t know any two apples the same. Paint the inside red and allow it to dry completely. Each color will need two coats. Allow paint to dry between each application, I used a hair dryer set on cool to speed the process.

Easy Apple Craft Steps

Using one stroke upward starting at the top of the apple, apply brown paint to create a stem.

For the fleshy part, paint a white middle leaving an inch or two of red around the outside. Again, I didn’t use any exact way because learning to appreciate the character of small imperfections is something I’m working on when it comes to art.

When the white paint is dry, use hot glue to apply 3 pumpkin seeds to each side of the apple core area, and then a few at the bottom if desired.

Cut approximately 12 inches of green ribbon and tie a few knots in the middle.

Curl each end with scissors, then use hot glue to attach ribbon at the base of the stem while using caution to not get glue on your fingers – it’s hot!

To finish, paint the seeds black. You can’t tell by the picture, but I didn’t paint the sides of the seeds, reducing the risk of getting black paint on the core area and they still look great!
