With each of my babies I have had several blankets that I used with them as babies. Eventually they each seem to find their favorites, their “Blankies”. Danica had 2 for several years, a small blankie with an animal on it. She named it Feefee somewhere along the way (I have no idea where the name came from). She also has a satin lined larger blanket that she is recently less attached too, she called that one “Pinky” because it was Pink. Kurtis has 2 blankets he is still very faithful to, a similar little blankie with an animal on it which he calls “Poohy” (named after Winnie the Pooh) and a larger satin trimmed blanket that was handmade. He calls that one Nemo because the trim has Nemo on it. Keegan has a soft blanket he calls “Blankie Stars”. It has sports items and stars on it and he gravitated to the stars. It is funny to see what each of them has gravitated to. For the older two, they are definitely partial to the Satin edging, for Keegan it is the softness of the blanket that he craved.
GooseWaddle sent us a Gift Set including their Baby Blanket, Blankie, and GooseWaddle Plush Toy (MSRP $105). The Blanket and Blankie both consist of: Satin Trim: 57% Rayon / 43% Acetate Pile Fabric: 100% Micro Denier Polyester.
These Blankets offer both of the features that were very important to my older children: A silky soft Satin trim around a SUPER soft plush blanket. The blanket measures 29″ x 35″ which is a perfect size for baby. Large enough to swaddle, but not too large to get in the way. The Blankie measures 14″ x 14″, the perfect size for little ones to carry with them everywhere, or Mom to tuck into a purse or diaper bag in case of emergencies. They come in choice of white, pink or blue. I of course chose pink for my baby girl.
The adorable GooseWaddle Plush Toy is so cute. I love his mismatched Yellow and Orage Feet, and his oversized glasses. Delaney likes him too and my older daughter Danica won’t stop talking about how cute he is. His glasses are a little rough to the touch around the edges so I would caution with a newborn baby, but Delaney loves him!
What I like most about these blankets and the company? They give back:
For every blanket we sell, we donate a receiving blanket to a child in need. Children everywhere deserve to feel loved and be nestled in cozy softness. So we’re doing our part. By buying a GooseWaddle Blanket, Blankie or set, you’re playing a part, too, and helping us share the warmth of GooseWaddle — worldwide.
I will admit I think the blankets are a little pricey compared to what I know my other children’s favorite blankets might have cost, but trust me, the perfect soft blanket is PRICELESS when it comes to making baby happy. I still have my baby blanket and I am not afraid to admit it. It comforted me through many years and I am happy to see each of my children find their perfect “Blankie” to help them get through the rough times or simply get a cozy nights sleep.
Only time will tell what Delaney will choose as her favorite, but I would have to guess that it will be the GooseWaddle Blankets she received.
GooseWaddle Blankets are sold seperately for $65.00 for the Blanket, $35.00 for the Baby Blankie, $90.00 for a set including Blanket and Blankie, $105 for a set including Blanket, Blankie and GooseWaddle Plush, and $20.00 for a GooseWaddle Plush Toy. All are available at GooseWaddle.com.
One lucky reader will win their own GooseWaddle Gift Set including Baby Blanket, Blankie, and GooseWaddle Plush Toy.
