Creamy Bacon Spinach Dip When it comes to game day or any celebration, I love to surprise my family with something special.  I like to present them something tasty while we enjoy our quality time together. I recently made this Hot Bacon Spinach Dip, which we were convinced was heaven sent and it is such an easy recipe. Who doesn’t love hot party dips? I was able to make this recipe in under 15 minutes and needless to say, it was a big hit and this small casserole dish was the perfect size.

Ingredients for Bacon Spinach DipBacon Spinach Dip Ingredients:

To make this easy spinach dip with bacon, you’ll need the following simple ingredients:

  • Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix or Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Golden Onion Soup Mix
  • mayonnaise
  • sour cream
  • large tomato
  • bacon
  • frozen chopped spinach

It is amazing how much flavor can be found in packet of Lipton® Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix (Look for it in the soup aisle.)  This time I used pre-cooked bacon to cut down on the prep time. But if you can use leftover bacon or cook it fresh like in this cream cheese bacon dip, it does taste extra good with crispy bacon. I have only tested this recipe with frozen spinach so if you try fresh spinach, let me know how it goes.

Just a few step are required for this hot dip recipe. Simply preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.  In a medium mixing bowl combine your Lipton soup mix, mayo and sour cream. Stir to fully combine. Fold in remaining ingredients. (For best results, make sure frozen spinach has been very well drained with excess liquid removed.) Spread into a one quart baking dish and bake uncovered for approximately 25 minutes or until heated through. Serve immediately with your favorite dippers!

What to Serve with Spinach Dip

Not sure what to serve with this spinach dip? There are so many great choices for dippers. Here are a few ideas:

  • Tortilla Chips: The standard accompaniment to spinach dip is crisp tortilla chips. They go well with the dip’s creaminess and offer a satisfying crunch.
  • Pita Bread: Pita bread, which is both warm and soft, is another great option. To use it as a scoop, rip it into pieces or cut it into wedges.
  • Baguette: Thinly sliced and baguette pieces make a heartier and more rustic alternative for dunking. Toasted baguette slices are a great accompaniment to spinach dip. Add a bit of garlic butter for a extra special touch.
  • Vegetables: Serve the dip with some vegetables, such as carrot sticks, celery sticks, bell pepper strips, or cucumber slices for a healthy alternative. Cut-up fresh veggies for the win.
  • Pretzels: Spinach dip gets a salty boost from soft pretzels or pretzel bites.
  • Pita Chips: If you want a chip that won’t break apart in your hand when dunking it in a thick dip, try toasted pita chips.
  • Crackers: Butter crackers, wheat crackers, and flavored crackers all offer unique flavor profiles that will complement this dip.

You can also hollow out a bread bowl and transfer your prepared dip into that for an extra special presentation at your next party. Cut or rip smaller pieces of the excess bread for dipping. I decided to offer tortilla chips, pretzel chips and toasted baguette to dip and they were all delicious! The smells that filled my kitchen as this cheesy spinach dip cooked made my mouth water. It did not disappoint.

Can use pre-cooked bacon to save on time.

Can you see what a creamy dip this when loaded up on on this baguette? Does it make your mouth water like mine?I think my favorite dipper was the bread! (Can you blame me?) This dip will now be regularly served at gatherings in my house! Consider transferring to a crock pot to keep it the perfect temperature throughout your party. Would also be perfect to bring to a work party since it tastes great hot, room temperature or cold.

Creamy Bacon Spinach Dip RecipeThe addition of bacon really complements this spinach dip and is a nice alternative to more traditional spinach artichoke dip. If you are on a keto diet, this dip pretty friendly as long as you choose low carb options like celery sticks, broccoli or cauliflower for dippers.
