I’ll admit when I was asked to check out Ugly Children’s Clothing I wondered what I would find.
That is definitely not the word I’d use to describe the clothing line created by three guys in Norway. They make children’s clothing with traditional ski sweater patterns, real fisherman’s quality rain wear and print patterns from milk cartons from the 70’s. And apparently this is a very popular brand in Norway.
I can see why, as they certainly sent me some adorable clothing for my kids!
We received this super soft marius eco playsuit in size 12-24 months. It is made of 70% bamboo, 30% eco cotton. And “wow” is the only word I can think of to describe the utter softness. I seriously just want to cuddle Wes all day in this.
Wes is on the small size and this playsuit is still a bit big on him. (He wears size 18 months in other clothing brands.) So there is plenty of room to grow! This playsuit is available in several colors and offered in sizes 0-3 months up to 3-4 years. (Note: At the moment many sizes/colors are temporarily sold out.)
The details are seriously spectacular and the colors are bright and vibrant. Since so many members on my family tree are Norwegian, I’m happy to have something for him to wear that represents my ancestors.
For my older boys, we received two of the grand dad sweaters. They are also extremely soft and made of 50% bamboo, 50% eco-cotton. And while this is labeled as a sweater, it is much lighter than a traditional sweater.
It makes a fantastic layering piece. We even used it for our fall family photo shoot as a base layer. The style is longer which I like. I have tall, slim boys and I love tops for them that aren’t too short in the torso.
Ugly Children’s Clothing really has some unique and fun styles available which are really anything but ugly. If you like extra soft, luxury fabrics like merino wool and bamboo, you’ll love the selection!
