Learning to adjust with one baby can be difficult, and adjusting with multiple children is harder, but twins, triplets or more requires an almost super human ability. However, not many of us are superhuman, so here are a few pointers to help you along the way.
Structure
Establishing a routine can reward you later on. Getting into a routine may take a while as you get used to your babies’ needs, and you may not always be able to pre-empt how long things will take and how they like to things have done (your babies are after all tiny people with personalities of their own). As they grow and their needs change, sticking to a routine as structure can be helpful both for your children as well as for you.
Shopping
Buying in bulk can save you time and money. For example, you are going to need a lot of diapers. You will first need to decide whether cloth or disposable diapers are right for your family. If you choose disposable, keep in mind that name brands are often much more expensive than store brand diapers, even with coupons, and the same goes for other essentials. Either way you can save by buying them in bulk from warehouse stores or watching for good sales online and big box retailers. Another option is to choose can purchase reusable cloth diapers that you wash. Though less convenient, they do offer environmental benefits, depending upon how you wash them and can give you significant cost savings, especially when using them for multiple children.
You will also need to buy two (or as many as you need for the babies you have!) of baby gear like high chairs and car seats so be sure to shop around for the best prices. Shopping online to read reviews on the products before you buy them will help you choose the right product for you!
Products Designed For Twins
A feeding cushion designed especially with twins will help you to bottle feed or breast feed your babies by allowing you to feed them at the same time. A twin baby carrier allows you to carry two babies at the same time on your front, ideal for moms or dads and leaves your arms free. (Yes, the do make those!) Twin strollers are an essential too as they offer a long term travel solution for your babies as well as the diaper bag and more. Check out options for Britax Twin Prams , or strollers.
Ask for Help
Don’t be afraid to request help from friends and family. A new baby in the family can always be stressful but getting into a rhythm with two can be even more challenging. Don’t feel guilty for requesting help!

Coping sounds so negative?! I feel like it’s a huge blessing to have twins! I imagine very difficult… but losing a child… now that needs coping. Being blessed with two? Just a juggling act.

I always dreamed I would have twins, I never did but I always thought it wold be fun. My youngest are 16 months apart so I guess that is as close as I will get. But I can use a lot of these tips for those 2 as well.
