Basement Remodel with Ceiling Tiles By Us + GIVEAWAY

When my husband and I moved into our first home more than eight years ago the basement was technically “finished”. This included avocado green carpet that had lived through one too many family gatherings, brown paneling, a particle board ceiling, and one can’t forget the orange pleather upholstered bar. It was a sight. We quickly removed the dated wall and ceiling covering and proceeded to live with it in disarray for eight years. Yes, we had good intentions of finishing the space but the rest of the house took precedence and life got in the way. Funny enough good intentions don’t pay for a project nor do they allow time to magically appear in your busy life.CTBU_Before2When I heard about Ceiling Tiles By Us I jumped at the chance to finally finish our family room (which was currently “man land”). These PVC tiles snap into a grid and transform an unfinished space into something beautiful quickly. This style can be glued up onto a styrofoam backing however we chose a sturdy tile and simply dropped them into the grid with great results. We chose both a simple square patterned tile as well as a more decorative tile to add interest. These PVC tiles come in a variety of patterns and faux metal colors. Check out these before/after pictures. For a step-by-step guide on how to install these decorative tiles yourself watch the video below.
