If there is one thing I’ve learned to appreciate after having kids, it is more convenience. Slip on shoes happens to be one I really appreciate. While I love the look of ties, it isn’t practical to have to lace up my shoes in order to run out the door after my 4 and 6 year old or while trying to lug my infant son in his car seat.
Blu Kicks is a new shoe company is making it easier for moms (and dads) like me who need something easy to slip on but still desire a stylish and fun option. The shoe offers a removable insole and textured cushioning for maximum comfort so you’ll be able to keep up with life, no matter what your day holds.
While it was tempting to pick a neutral gray, I decided the Indo Blue was what I needed to liven up my fall wardrobe. I have a tendency to stick toward basic colors but sometimes you just have to break free and enjoy something brighter!
These shoes are just as comfortable and cool as they look. They’ve been great for everything from running errands to trips to the park. The comfort in the insole is very noticeable and far surpasses anything I’d expect from a traditional canvas slip on.
And for an added dash of color, the heel has a yellow stripe which reminds me of the sea and coordinates perfectly with the bottom of the shoe. Yes, I said the bottom.
Blu Kicks was started by a mother and son team whose shoe designs are inspired by fish! After spending time in Hawaii, they became concerned about preserving the area they love from over fishing and abuse. To help, Blue Kicks gives $1 per pair of all sales to two ocean charities – For the Fishes and WildAid. I love businesses with a mission to give back.
Blu kicks are available in both mens and womens styles, each retailing for $58. You can find them online directly from blu kicks or use their retailers page to find them locally!
I have a pair of blu kicks to give away to one of my lucky readers in their choice of size and color!
