Lately I feel as though laundry has become my life. If I don’t do at least one load per day, I am behind. It takes up a lot of my time and while some days it can be therapeutic, most days I hate it and want it done as quickly as possible. Anything that can make laundry go faster and easier is welcomed with open arms at my house. When I was offered the opportunity to try out the new Wisk® Deep Clean® PowerBlasts I was immediately intrigued and ready to try it.
Did you know that in an average wash load, there are 20x more hidden body oils and sweat than visible stains? New Wisk Deep Clean PowerBlasts feature a patented Micro-Cleaner™ formula that seeks out and attack sweat and body oils that some other detergents can leave behind. They are truly a simple solution to get the deep clean you’re looking for in an easier way – just drop one pac in to the drum of your washing machine and blast the sweat out!
One of the worst body oil/sweat problems we have is the dreaded ring around the collar. I have been known to spend a lot of time scrubbing the collars of Kyle’s shirts and on occasion have had to re-scrub and rewash just to get it out. I decided to really test the Wisk Deep Clean PowerBlasts on one of Kyle’s collars. I did not scrub the collar in any way, simply dropped it into the wash with one of the Powerblasts. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. You can still faintly see the ring around the collar, but it is mostly gone and that was with NO scrubbing or special treating of the collar. Impressive!
The other significant problem I have with laundry is greasy foods leaving stains on clothes. Keegan smeared peanut butter all over one of his shirts this past week and I was excited to use it as an opportunity to try Wisk on a greasy stain. I figured the peanut butter would wash off easily, but also assumed there would be a grease mark left behind after washing. There was no grease mark left behind! It came completely out and I did not scrub or treat at all!
- Add one PowerBlasts directly to the drum and then add laundry on top. Never place PowerBlasts in the HE dispenser.
- Regular loads = 1 PowerBlasts
- Large or heavily soiled loads = 2 PowerBlasts
- Keep container sealed between uses
- Dry hands before handling
I love the convenience of the PowerBlasts. I get really sick of cleaning up drips and spills from my other detergents and this was so clean and easy to use.
Wisk Deep Clean PowerBlasts dissolve completely in the wash, even in cold water, and are safe for all washing machines – high efficiency, non-high efficiency, front loaders and top loaders. PowerBlasts are sealed in a water soluble film that dissolves completely, even in cold water, to release the active detergent throughout the wash, leading to laundry that is deep down clean and free of any packaging materials.
I did not test them in cold water, but they dissolved completely for me in a warm and hot water loads in my high efficiency washer.
The only downside I have for the PowerBlasts is the slightly perfumey smell they have. I generally use a free and clear detergent as my whole family has allergies and is sensitive to smells so this was just a bit perfumey compared to what we are used to, but definitely not bad or overpowering like some detergents. It would not deter me from using them, it is just an adjustment for us.
