This post brought to you by LEGO. All opinions are 100% mine.
My seven and five hear old boys are very different. They don’t always agree. One loves vehicles while the other loves action figures. But the one thing they can always agree on playing is with their LEGO sets. It never gets old and they love getting creative. We have quite a collection after just a few years of LEGO being on every wishlist for every single occasion. So when I heard that you can customize your own holiday card using LEGO Minifigures, I couldn’t resist trying it out.
The system is very easy to use and add family members. You can even add in pets! There are so many choices including faces, hair, hats, torso and legs. I know my boys would love to play around with it. When putting mine together I found I really liked using the randomize outfit feature to test different looks and combos. The one thing I noticed was the leg options for children were limited to only three solid colors while the adults had a wide variety. I think it would be great if they could extended the adult leg options to the children.
In the end, I decided to go with a holiday theme and dress everyone with a santa hat. They just look too adorable to not to use them. But next time, I’d love to try out some of the fun hair options available.
There were a lot of different background options as well. I even spotted a Hanukkah theme! While the North Pole background would have been fitting since we are living in the frozen tundra also known as Minnesota, I decided to go with something cozy. This scene features a warm fireplace, twinkling lights and snow covered windows. I’d love to be there right now!
