My husband Kyle is so hard to buy for. He doesn’t complain about anything I give him, but if he wants anything he just buys it himself. He likes to do woodworking and other things that I know nothing about so I wouldn’t even know where to start when buying things to support his hobbies. His birthday is in May, then with Father’s Day in June I find myself struggling for gift ideas every year. This year Datevitation offered me the perfect gift for him with a one-of-a-kind Custom Love Coupon Book.
Datevitation.com is the web’s first online platform to create a custom love coupon book. Unlike the pre-packaged love coupon books on the market, you pick the dates and can customize the text to your liking. Once you are done customizing the text in your book, Datevitation will print it out and ship it to you. Our library contains over 350 date ideas ranging from skydiving to stargazing to steamy adult-only activities. We also have over 100 book cover options to suit any occasion.
I have seen coupon books like these in stores, but never one that you could customize yourself. They usually contain date ideas that don’t fit our personalities or styles. For example, Kyle and I love to fish and went fishing on our first date. How many love coupon books have a fishing option? Datevitation does. You can pick from several activities such as fishing, hiking, and enjoying a sunset. I love that I could choose dates that weren’t going to cost us a lot of money and were personal to our tastes.
Kyle really loved the Out of the Doghouse coupon that I included for him. It will be his one and only chance to get out of the doghouse one of these days when he screws up.
One of my favorites was the date option to recreate our first date which for Kyle and I was going fishing and then eating at our local favorite restaurant. Sadly that restaurant is closed now, but I would still love to recreate that date.
Father’s Day Gift
In addition to being the perfect romantic gift for your sweetie, Datevitation just launched its “boy” and “girl” characters with over 200 new activity illustrations specifically for kids and parents. Just in time for Father’s Day!
This would be the perfect gift option for fathers day. While I chose romantic activities, there are MANY options for families. You could have your child create a book to give to Dad for Father’s Day. You pick whether you are a Man, Woman, Boy, or Girl and if you are making the book for Man, Woman, Boy, or Girl. With fun options like paintballing, and arcading, I know my children would LOVE to make a book for their Dad full of fun activities.
Datevitation says it offers over 100 cover ideas and I have to say this is the only area I was slightly disappointed. There are only a few actual pictures with words mixed and matched in different ways to make the 100 cover ideas, but I think they could offer a better selection for cover ideas. It certainly wouldn’t deter me from buying, but it is the one area I could see improvement.
The site was extremely easy to use. Each of the dates comes with text that goes with each date option, but you can choose to change that text to make it personal to you and the recipient if you choose. You can also choose to add a personal greeting page which will appear in your book as the first page after the cover.
They also offer a selection of Adults Only date selections. This was fun too to be able to pick options that were appropriate for my husband and I, but as a warning, do not let your child explore this site on their own.
A Datevitation book starts at only $20, which includes the cover of your choice, a personal message page, and 5 custom love coupons. You can add more dates for $1 each. Standard shipping is just $3.50. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. Use promo code ‘BABYLOVING‘ to receive $10 off your purchase in May or June. Remember to order by June 6th in order to guarantee delivery by Father’s Day!
One lucky reader will win a code to create their own Custom Love Coupon Book!
