Until I had kids, I didn’t worry too much about batteries. We definitely went through them, but not like I do now as a parent of three kids. And it comes to holiday gift opening, nothing is more disappointing for a child who receives a gift that requires batteries, but they aren’t included. Unfortunately those toys that do include them for testing purposes typically have the cheap kind that never last long. This holiday season, don’t forget the practical, but important gift of batteries! And definitely don’t forget Duracell, which are guaranteed for 10 years in storage. (Not that it takes that long for me to use them in our house!)

Duracell Power Your Holiday with Batteries

No one said batteries have to be boring for adults either. I admit that when these two packages of batteries arrived on my doorstep, I smiled. And my husband was very open about how much he loves it when have extra batteries on hand. I’m already putting them to good use!  Even though I try my best to keep up a stock of them, I forget just how many things around my house require batteries. From flashlights to remote controls to my oldest son’s Furby to my son’s musical projector that he *needs* to fall asleep, batteries are a must.

Duracell Batteries for Holiday GiftsA couple of years ago we woke up on Christmas morning at my parent’s house, and I discovered quickly that they had a ton of batteries. My mom had picked up some large packages of Duracell batteries in various sizes from Sam’s Club because she didn’t want any disappointed grandchildren that morning. I realized this was great holiday planning, but something that is easily overlooked. Now I try to consider this when buying gifts. Many toys have spots where a small package of four batteries can go before even being wrapped. They also make an easy addition to any size gift bag and fit well into stockings. I trust Duracell to be my #1 long-lasting battery this holiday season.

  1. Great reminder! I think it’s so important that if you are giving a gift that needs batteries then you should include them! It’s something growing up my Aunt always did so I make sure to do the same. I love how you tucked the batteries under the card/ribbon!

  2. There’s nothing worse for a kid on Christmas morning than receiving a gift that requires batteries without being gifted batteries too. I always make sure to add the batteries!

  3. It’s so important to have batteries around, especially during this time of year! I hate having something and then not being able to use it right away because I don’t have batteries!

  4. Gosh I’m just imaging this as the worst, an excited child opening a gift up, wanting to play immediately with it and you don’t have any batteries, I can just imagine the tantrums, cries, and groans from that scenario.
