I’m not going to pretend that talking about fiber intake is a super interesting subject. But I do think sharing that you can get 20% of the recommended fiber intake (5 grams) in one serving of Fiber One Toaster Pastries is worth mentioning. They come in four great varieties including Blueberry, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Chocolate Fudge and Strawberry. In a recent taste test, a significant amount of people (who had a preference) preferred the taste of Fiber One Brown Sugar Cinnamon Toaster Pastries over Kellogg’s 20% Fiber Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts.
General Mills through My Blog Spark sent me this fun “Morning on the Go” prize pack including the Brown Sugar Cinnamon variety to try out. I ended up eating them as an afternoon snack. They were a great filler between lunch and dinner and totally satisfied my sweet tooth in the process. And if you think that the higher fiber content affects taste, I can honestly say that I couldn’t tell there was a difference between this and any other type of toaster pastry. The extra fiber is just a bonus!
