For the past month I’ve had the opportunity to create two very different recipes using Fresh Take from Kraft. Several bloggers along with myself were invited to be part of their Fresh Take Flavor Makers blogging program. We were challenged to come up with new and easy ways to use this time saving product.
You may remember my first challenge last month:
Use the Italian Parmesan Fresh Take variety, include my favorite green colored side dish with the meal and use the oven for one of my dishes.
With that I created my Italian Parmesan Chicken Dinner which utilized the entire contents of the Kraft Fresh Take package.
Typically you can cover 2 pounds of meat with Kraft Fresh Take but since we rarely cook that much for our family at once, I was able to create a delicious crunchy topping for my side dishes consisting of red potatoes and green beans. It was a hit and I loved that I didn’t have to throw any of my Fresh Take away!
My second challenge I found to not be nearly so easy:
Using the Italian Parmesan Fresh Take variety, create a sandwich with a little BBQ side sauce flair and include my favorite vegetable as a side dish.
I don’t typically think of the flavors of Italian Parmesan pairing well with barbecue sauce. I put on my thinking cap and decided to make BBQ Meatball Subs. And my absolute favorite side dishes for any barbecue inspired meal is sweet corn on the cob and coleslaw so it was natural to serve my subs with these summer classics.
Kraft asked me to share a pinterest board to show off my inspiration for my Italian Parmesan Fresh Take variety. And since I love pinterest, it was fun to find some delicious recipes, fashion and travel shots to share with you all!
You can join in on the larger conversation by using the #KraftFreshTake hashtag on Twitter and Pinterest and find more great recipes at Kraft!
To help you get inspired as well, Kraft has offered one of my readers a $100 American Express gift card!
