I love browsing Target for anything and everything (in between getting those darn necessities) and with my three year old shopping buddy we decided to check out all the Easter goodies. I immediately found myself drawn to these colorful packages. No, your eyes do not deceive you. That is edible Easter grass available in a variety of flavors including green apple, strawberry, blueberry and assorted. Have you seen or even tried this?
Isn’t it intriguing? My first thought was, is this really enough for a basket? Several packages for a single basket might get a bit expensive. Looking closer it appears that much like regular Easter grass, there is more within in the package than meets the eye. And then I’m immediately asking myself, is it sticky? I certainly wouldn’t want everything in my kid’s Easter basket to be sticky since we put more than just candy in ours. Hmmm…but I just can’t stop looking at it.
I remember being happy when it became easy to find paper (a.k.a. both recyclable and less annoying filler) than the grass of old but this takes it to a whole new level.
We then peaked at all the fun crafts and Easter themed activities available. I’m anything but a crafty person so I appreciate easy and fun kits like these.
But here is where I lose myself. Within the Easter themed baking products. Is it any wonder? It makes my baking heart go thump, thump and is made by my very favorite baking company, Wilton. Oh Wilton, how I love thee. (And not just because you think I’m cool enough to be one of your ambassadors, I swear.)
My thoughts scatter, thinking of all the delectable goodies that will look even more adorable and tempting and down right irresistible with these products. Really, how can you resist that little bunny face?
I found everything from cookie cutters to party bags to cupcake liners and even a bunny shaped cake pan. You know you want to make some fun bunny shaped whoopie pies! (Should he be eaten starting from the ears or the tail?)
And then, because I simply can’t resist a bright display, I gazed at all the fun spring and summer products available. Wishing the weather in Minnesota would cooperate with what Target is showing me. It is time for spring right? A good time is awaiting me in this visual paradise. Why I can’t I have that warm feeling outside, in real life? Why can’t I buy this and enjoy the view from my patio gazebo?
Have you been to Target lately? Any fun finds?
