I invited my 3-year old nephew Parker over for some bouncing fun. He loved the iBounce trampoline! I’m thrilled to see something that helps preschool-aged kids by getting them off the couch. iBounce motivates kids to exercise along with adorable animated character, RompyRoo. Kids learn about numbers, colors and letters on the interactive DVD while getting active and having fun!
JumpSport, makers of the award-winning iBounce™ children’s trampoline with tablet mount (fits, iPad, Kindle, Kindle Fire, Samsung and most other tablets), rolls out two new animated adventures for RompyRoo™ in Let The Games Begin and The Grand Finale! Both videos keep kids hopping as they develop balance and coordination while learning to listen carefully and follow directions.
JumpSport has two new RompyRoo animated adventures, “Let The Games Begin!” and “The Grand Finale!” You can view short vignettes here:

Episode 3 – The Grand Finale: http://youtu.be/2I2qXydXQfc
The videos seemed to have a good amount of diversity in story lines and kept Parker interested. He was excited each time the scene changed saying, “Mommy another one!”
These DVDs also have a more exercise-based format with an adult and child leading imaginary adventures while doing their trampoline moves. I was doubtful that Parker would be interested but he actually loved it. He might have been more connected to the real person leading each move than the animated kangaroo at times.
The JumpSport iBounce would make a great holiday gift for kids 2 to 5 years old. In general I think this is a great product and highly encourage the interactivity part of this to keep kids active. Parker’s mom and I agreed that the number counting concept was confusing for Parker (they list the numbers 10, 11, 12 … as “ten one, ten two, ten three” and go into a long-winded explanation of child development methods that prove children learn best with this concept. Parker and my daughter Nora are both working on this set of numbers right now so it was frustrating to have a varying education method that neither of us would chose for our children.
Although the trampoline was very well built, sturdy and well designed visually we felt it was not as easily assembled as they advertise. My husband is a mechanical engineer and builds/designs machines for a living and yet it took him nearly 30 minutes to assemble. Reading the instructions and staring at the box of parts intimated me into waiting for help to put it together. I’m also disappointed with the size and inability to quickly/easily transfer it from room to room. It doesn’t fit through a standard door frame without acrobatics to maneuver the trampoline into the next room. Our house is very small and there is no way we could keep this out for daily use. I’m hoping we can find a spot by my elliptical to exercise together and encourage a healthy lifestyle from this early age and our basement should have the room to accommodate that.
