I recently took a trip to my local Wal-mart Supercenter to pick up something new for lunch and my never ending sweet tooth. When I used to work outside the home, Lean Cuisine frozen meals were a staple for lunch. It was quick and easy and certainly less expensive than eating out every day. It helped me to stay on track and gave me a nice variety. Since I left my job to stay at home, I’ve let lunches slide. So I thought this was the perfect time to search for something new!
I couldn’t believe how much bigger the selection had gotten for Lean Cuisine. I really don’t remember ever having so many choices. As soon as I saw these Lean Cuisine Market Creations which steam fresh in the bag I did a double take. A bag? What? As soon as I saw these, I was sold! I had to try them.
I also made a stop by the frozen dessert section to check out what was available for Skinny Cow. When I lost 20 pounds right before I got pregnant with my four year old son Lucian, I often bought the vanilla Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches. They were so filling and you seriously couldn’t tell that they were made with reduced fat ice cream. I found plenty of other tempting Skinny Cow dessert like these truffle ice cream bars.
But I had a serious craving for the ice cream sandwiches. Lucian was quick to declare that we had to get the green kind and I had never tried the mint so who was I to argue? Mint it is!
Doesn’t it just look delicious? That is because it is! The boys couldn’t wait to eat one when we got home and they devoured them in no time.
Because they are so large, I helped myself to stealing bites off their sandwiches. And it was so good. I was wondering why I ever stopped buying these bad boys.
The following day I tried the Lean Cuisine Market Creation meal for lunch. This is so above and beyond the meals I used to eat for lunch. With this steam release valve it is no longer necessary to stir the meal part way through. And no more cold spots!
It was so simple and didn’t require any clean up. I haven’t had a lunch like this in a long time and it tasted delicious! It was the perfect size to fill me up without leaving me stuffed. At $2.50 it is certainly worth the convenience and helps me to watch what I eat and maintain portion control.
