Delaney is 4 months old now and she is really interested in trying to see what is going on around her. It is hard when she is laying on the floor for her to really follow me with her eyes and she seems to prefer being upright. We recently were sent a Baby Snug ($59.99) from Mamas and Papas and I have found it is the perfect thing for her to sit in on the floor so she can be upright and watch me and her siblings around her.
Baby’s first two stage seat providing stability and support inside and outside. The first stage seat is suitable from 3-12 months and can be used with or without the tray. Remove Baby Snug’s seat insert to convert the infant positioner into a second stage seat suitable 12 months + and can also be used with or without the tray. Baby Snug is ergonomically designed to provide support and comfort for your baby giving you time to sit and relax. The seat has an extra wide base for great stability, is easy to wipe clean, lightweight and portable, perfect when you’re on the move and suitable for inside and outside use.
I find it impossible to write about this seat without comparing it to a Bumbo seat. We have one that I used for my older children when we were babies and I find the Mama’s and Papa’s Baby Snug to be a much better version of a Bumbo. The seat with insert is just a snug seat to hold baby upright while they are still trying to find their core strength and balance. Delaney is a little peanut at only 11 lbs now and the seat is still a little big for her, but she does like to sit in it. What I really like about this seat over the Bumbo is that the base is a little wider so it seems more secure and it is also much easier to clean and seems like it will hold its shape better.
The tray on the Baby Snug is MUCH better than the hard to attach and flimsy tray on the Bumbo Seat. I like that it is a larger tray which wraps around and attaches on either side of the seat. It is secure yet easy to remove.
Mamas and Papas also offers an Activity tray ($19.99) that can be added to the Baby Snug Tray with 8 interactive features and 6 different toy arrangements.
Another great feature of the Baby Snug is the removable insert making the seat usable as your child grows. Keegan at 2 years old, loves to sit in it too and it is a perfect fit for him. The seat is recommended for ages 3 months – 12+ months.
At only 4 lbs the seat is highly portable which I love. I am sure we will be taking this along on camping trips throughout the summer, especially as Delaney begins to eat real food.
The Mamas and Papas Baby Snug is available in five vibrant colors, plum, teal, red, raspberry or apple. We received the apple color and I love how bright it is.
Disclosure: I received a sample for the purpose of this post however all thoughts remain my own.
