My husband Kyle and son Kurtis each have a huge sweet tooth. Don’t get me wrong, I love my share of sweets too, but not like them. When Kurtis was a baby I couldn’t get him to eat anything except fruit because he loved the sweetness of it, but now he has realized there are even tastier sweet things in the world such as Mrs. Freshley’s Honey Buns made with Cinnabon Cinnamon. Kurtis is hooked to say the least, and the rest of the family is just as happy.
Mrs. Freshley’s recently partnered with Cinnabon to offer a new line of products made with Cinnabon Cinnamon including Honey Buns, Cinnamon Danishes, and Coffee Cakes. They are all wonderfully tasty. My husband Kyle and daughter Danica love the Honey Buns the most. Kurtis and I prefer the Cinnamon Danishes and Keegan loves it all!
These conveniently packaged treats are perfect for my husband who often leaves in the morning for work without time for a proper breakfast. Mrs. Freshley’s gives him a delicious option to take with him on the road (or eat from home when he has to work from home). Kyle was very insistent that I must mention just how delicious the Honey Buns are if you warm them in the microwave for just a few seconds.
I really liked that the coffee cake was actually two smaller cakes within the package. The Honey Buns and Danishes were a little large for a single serving and it was nice to have the coffee cake a little smaller. I will say the coffee cake was a little dry for my taste and completely fell to crumbs when my 3 year old tried to eat them, but the taste was fabulous (just needed to drink my coffee with the cake for a little moisture).
The Honey Buns and Danishes were a little bit sticky so I found it much easier for the kids to cut them up and let them eat with a fork.
Like all things that taste wonderful, the Honey Buns and Danishes were a little high in calories (560 for one Honey Bun and 530 per Cinnamon Danish), but as I said they are quite large and you wouldn’t need to eat the whole thing at once. The Coffee Cake was a pleasant surprise at only 180 calories per serving.
While we probably won’t be making a daily habit of eating these, they did taste fabulous and I will certainly keep them on hand for when we need a sweet treat to go or for camping trips or other times when we need breakfast on the go.
Here is a fun video showcasing the love between the honey bun and cinnabon. A match made in heaven, don’t you think?
