If you are looking for some amazingly soft and modern children’s clothing that are so comfortable, you’ll want to hear about the sale going on at My Habit. Starting today, October 15th at 11 AM EST / 9AM PST, you can get an exclusive collection from Soft Clothing at a discount!
We are thrilled to launch our third exclusive collection for MyHabit. Comprehensive comfort is always our top priority, so this collection has all the benefits our customers expect: flat seaming, soft bio-washed organic cotton, water-based prints and no tags, zippers or itchy embellishments. The Soft Fall Collection colors and hand-drawn prints were inspired by the rich forest and mountain landscapes of Switzerland. The print and color names take you from crystal blue mountain lakes to the top of the Matterhorn: Lake Geneva Teal, Swiss Quartz, Rolling Hill Repeat, Bernese Night Blue, Yodel Neon Yellow, Alpine Gold and Snowcap White, to name a few. The style silhouettes are both classic and 60’s inspired and range from Quilted Mountain Coats, Fisherman Sweaters, and Empire Waist Dresses, to playful styles such as Mini Skirts, Car Coats, and tromp l’oiel graphic printed long sleeve tees.
Contributing writer Sarah had a chance to try out the collection with her daughter Danica:
I often find my children complaining about their clothing being itchy or uncomfortable. They always want me to cut the tags out of their clothing and squirm over uncomfortable seams and waistlines. Either that or the clothing is completely impractical for them to move and play in. Soft Clothing has solved this problem with clothing that puts comfort as the first priority. Not only is it comfortable, but I find it completely adorable.
Danica loves her new Soft Peter Pan Collar Dress in Pink. I often find myself fighting with Danica about clothes because she always wants to wear dresses and sometimes I think she just needs to choose something more comfortable that she can move and play in. This was the perfect dress for her active lifestyle. It is so soft and comfortable (made from 100% organic cotton). When I asked Danica what her favorite part about the dress was, she replied, “it is nice and warm”. This is perfect for her to wear in fall and winter as warm definitely becomes a priority for us.
One of my favorite parts about the dress is how easily washable it is. Many of her dresses require special washing and this dress is machine washable and tumble dry. It comes out of the wash perfectly, no shrinking and no ironing required.
When I first looked at the dress (before Danica had it on) I thought it looked extremely short. Once she had it on, it did not seem so short (though we did wear it with leggings), but it is quite wide across the shoulders. Danica has fairly narrow shoulders and I thought it was a little broad for her, but that is likely part of what makes it so comfortable.
What do I think of the line?
This brown Fisherman Sweater is everything that I would hope it could be. While Soft Clothing was made specifically for children with clothing sensitivity issues, all children can appreciate the value of comfortable clothing!
I love the versatility of this top. He can wear with it jeans or paired with navy pants for a dressier feel. I found it to fit true to size and it washes up great! Lucian was happy to let me snap some photos of him in it.
I like that the collar is a bit different and is slightly folded, coming together with a snap. It is unique for sure and very soft.
The only thing I can complain about with this top is the color. Unfortunately this light brown washes out my blonde hair, blue eyed and fair complected son. I think this color would be fabulous on anyone with a darker skin tone and would have done the top more justice. If it were in a darker shade of brown or a different color altogether, I know it would be a favorite!
