Every year my family enjoys a small Christmas Eve gathering to celebrate the holiday season. And each year we enjoy a huge spread of our favorite appetizers and party food essentially until we burst before we get into new Christmas pajamas and enjoy a Christmas themed movie as a family. Even though this year I’ve discovered our group will be smaller than usual, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate this party in a bigger way. And there really is no simpler party planning than using a Vintage Poinsettia Party Kit from Party City.
This kit has everything you need for fabulous holiday decor and tableware, with enough to fill two large tables and cover 16 guests. All the materials are high quality and plenty is included within the package to add finishing touches including two centerpiece Christmas trees and holiday confetti.
I especially loved the larger square shaped plates which allow me to pile on more food in a single swipe. (Important for this pregnant mama this year!) I also really like the 12 foot Merry Christmas banner which makes a big statement above our window. While perfect for a party, this banner will be used year after year for our family to enjoy during the holiday season.

Glitter cutouts also added a nice finishing touch throughout the room. I did notice that these are different than what is included in the ultimate party kit currently so it is important to be a bit flexible on substituted items within a party kit.
I was also very excited to try out party crackers for the first time. Eight crackers were included with this set with each hiding a toy, paper crown and riddle inside.
Two people simple press on the end and twist at the same time before hearing a large POP! to break the cracker in half and reveal the prizes inside. Both my boys really loved the paper crowns and while they were a little big for their heads, it didn’t stop them from wearing them around for a while. I only wish this kit came with 16 crackers, one for each guest.

Also included in this set is a large Christmas tree pinata, complete with a 3 lb bag of candy to fill it, pinata baton and blindfold. I specifically chose this party kit because I wanted a pinata with the option to open by pulling on strings/ribbon versus using the baton. Finding good spot to hit a pinata in Minnesota during the winter is not my idea of fun. Letting the children pull on the strings one at a time is certainly less stress and safer.

I was very impressed tby the quality and size of this pinata and the freshness and overall appeal of the candy. This was filled with a great assortment of such goodies as Blow Pops, Trolli gummi bears, Brach’s Flooders gum and so much more!
