With two preschool aged boys in our house there is no shortage of small toys. From their huge collection of action figures and matchbox cars to their overflowing bins of Legos, you’ll find at least some scattered around at almost any given moment. Which is why I was very interested when I learned about the Toydozer. The concept is so simple that as soon as I saw it, I wondered why it had taken this long for someone to design a tool to make cleaning up toys easier.
Composed of two parts, the Toydozer features a gatherer which is much like blade of a bulldozer and a lightweight scoop with handle. Simply push the toys into the scoop with the blade and pour them out using the scoop. Another great feature is velcro which allows the blade to attach to the scoop for storage.
Legos are an obvious choice for this new way of cleaning up. It was also the toy that my husband was most excited to put away with the Toydozer. He was amazed at just how fast he was able to organize and scoop up parts. It also helps that this blade and scoop system seems almost like a toy itself and therefore fun for my boys to use.
I started to see uses for the Toydozer everywhere. From the coins from our Money, Money game that were scattered all over the table…
to the pieces from our electronic Battleship game that always seem to end up on our dining room floor. What normally would have been a pain to clean up was done in really no time at all. We even used the Toydozer to pick up packing peanuts that had gotten scattered. Imagine cleaning up toys like blocks or beads in no time at all. The possibilities are endless!
I really can’t think of a single criticism with this invention. This would make a practical gift that would be very much appreciated by any household with children.
