The weather is finally getting warmer here in Northern Minnesota. It really felt like spring might never come with our record setting snows in April. My kids are chomping at the bit to break out the summer clothing. Carter’s sent us some great summer outfits for all 4 of my children to try out and they were so happy to finally wear some shorts this year.
I love the comfortable, durable, and most of all adorable styles that Carter’s offers. Since my first was born 6 years ago Carter’s has been a regular part of my children’s wardrobes.
Danica received a very cute Cap Sleeve Graphic Tee (MSRP: $16.00) with a fish blowing bubbles and a pair of Teal French-knit Pull on Shorts. Made from 100% ribbed cotton the t-shirt is very soft. I love the colors of the bubbles of the shirt with the lime green and turquoise. The bubbles on the shirt have a little bit of sparkle on them which Danica loves. She adores anything that sparkles. The sizing on the shirt and shorts were perfect. They washed up very nicely and did not shrink.
For my boys we recieved adorable short sleeve graphic tees. Kurt’s says Capt. Adorable (which is so fitting for him as he has a smile with dimples that melt anyone’s heart). Keegan’s says Beach Hunk (MSRP: $14.00) with a monkey on it. Keegan loves monkeys. They both love their shirts and the are made from 100% cotton jersey so they are soft and comfortable for them as they are very active.
Kurtis got a pair of Pull-on plaid shorts (MSRP: $16.00) to match his shirt. I was impressed with how well his shorts fit. They have an elastic waistband (not adjustable). I would say that Kurt is average size for a 4 year old and the shorts fit perfectly.
Keegan on the other hand received grey french terry pull-on shorts (MSRP: $14.00) and they are extremely loose. It is not uncommon for clothes to be too big on Keegan. He is quite skinny with a tiny little butt and even with a diaper on these shorts would not stay up. They are very nice soft shorts, but I would caution you to order small.
Carter’s has the best selection for babies and Delaney looks so comfortable in her new cap-sleeved striped creeper (MSRP: $12.00). The little pink turtle on the butt is so cute, especially since by summer she will likely start crawling and we will see a lot of her cute little butt in the air as she moves. I love any outfits for babies that are one piece as the creepers are. It seems much more comfortable for babies not to have anything tight around their waists. It snaps all the way down the front and through the legs so it is easy to take on and off and do diaper changes.
Delaney received a very nice sunhat to complete her outfit. I love the wide brim which is perfect for keeping the sun out of her eyes and off her face and head so she doesn’t get burned and I don’t have to worry about sunscreen on her face or head. I also really appreciate the chin strap with Velcro closure so it stays on her head and is easy to take off.
All three of my older kids received flip flps to complete their outfits. Kurtis got the Turtle Flip Flops and Keegan got the Shark Flip Flops (MSRP: $28.00). I love that they have backs on them so they stay on as they are still pretty young and have a hard time with regular flip flops They seem very durable and yet soft and comfortable.
Danica received the Striped Flip Flops (MSRP: $8.00). She loves them. The graphics are made to match the backs of the Swimsuit collection, but they also coordinated with her outfit. She is my shoe girl and this is another adorable pair to add to her collection.
Besides the great quality of the Carter’s clothing I absolutely love that I was able to coordinate all of my children so they matched. With such a great variety of styles and colors it was a lot of fun to make them match yet each have their own individual style.
