I have the desire to have a spotless house. I dream of rooms that stay tidy for days after I clean them. Floors so spotless you could eat off them. Bathrooms that don’t have towels on the floor. Closets which are neatly organized with everything in its proper place. I want all of these things however life and especially kids make it so hard to achieve or maintain this. And it certainly doesn’t help that I don’t seem to have a gift for homemaking.
Reality is such a pain sometimes.
When Scotch-Brite asked me to try out some of their products and ask my readers for their own tips for tackling cleaning challenges, I was immediately on board. Any chance to blog myself cleaning is time well spent!
One of my favorite new products is the Scotch-Brite Printed Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge. I like to have a little fun in the kitchen if I can and phrases like “Kitchen Sweet Kitchen” and World Peace &No Grease” make cleaning just a little bit brighter.
I’ve been using this sponge to tackle everyday dirt and grime on everything from my kitchen cupboards to my microwave. I really like the ergonomic design which fits perfectly into my hand. The sponge can easily fit into small crevices and does a great job of scraping away caked on food or wiping away grease. Look for these at Target where you’ll find them in single packs ($1.89) or 3 packs ($3.99).
Another hand new product from Scotch-Brite is their Clean Curve Dishwand. This isn’t the first time I’ve ever used a dishwand but it definitely the first time I’ve used one that is so efficient!
The new “ski-tip” design has been refreshed to clean where others can’t, those annoying curves in drinkware, cookware and more. No more straining to get into those spots completely clean.
Some of the other great features include:
- Long lasting refillable soap dispensing handle
- Clear front panel so you can easily see the soap level
- Under the handle trigger button for releasing soap on demand
- Twist cap to discourage leaking
- Hanging loop for simple storage
- Disposable replacements sponges
I personally don’t find it super easy to use the trigger button to release the soap. I’m not sure if that is just me or the specific wand I’ve received. But I find it very easy to release the soap by simply pressing down on the dish. Filling the wand is also pretty easy, as long as you take your time with the soap. I love how easy it is to really get down into the curves and corners with this wand.
Replacements heads are easy to remove and replace and are available in a heavy duty and non-scratch version. Look for it at Target for a suggested retail price of $5.49 for the wand and $4.99 for the 3 pack refills.
For a little more fun, I’ve got a challenge for YOU. In the spirit of the printed non-scratch scrub sponges from Scotch-Brite, I want to know…
