We all get stubborn kitchen messes. The lasagna pan that requires a long soak. The baked beans that has that nice ring around the pot that just doesn’t want to come off. The dried egg stuck to your frying pan. I was asked to try out the Scotch-Brite Soap Dispensing Dishwand with Heavy Duty Scrubber Pad to tackle the tough food that isn’t ready to leave my dishes. An excuse to blog about my housework? Sounds great to me.
I love not having to get my hands in the soapy water, especially in the cooler weather when my hands feel so dry already. I can wash up a dirty dish in no time while controlling the amount of soap dispensed with the touch of a button. It has an ergonomic design that is easy to hold and the curved sponge gets into those harder to reach crevices.. I like using it for all kinds of messes, including Wesley’s highchair tray.
While it looks tough, it is still non-scratch. What a thing of beauty. I will continue to use this for my dishes because once you have a dishwand, it is hard to go back to traditional cleaning.
While washing up, I couldn’t help but consider the relationship that exists between my pot and the Scotch-Brite dishwand. They really do depend upon each other. Without something that is dirty and needs some heavy duty scrubbing, what purpose would would the dishwand possess? Without something that could get it really clean, where would the pot be? Just another dirty dish.
