Seventh Generation Free & Clear baby products has recently extended their line with NEW Overnight Diapers which are great for overnight or travel. They’ve also redesigned their diapers with new, improved tabs for better fit that feature stretchy, tear away side panels for a better fit and added convenience, as well as inner leak barriers for superior leakage protection. Free and Clear training pants now have an absorbent core made with more renewable materials. Sounds great, right? Actually the best part is that they do not contain chlorine, fragrance, petroleum-based lotions or latex and are hypo-allergenic.

Seventh Generation has also partnered with the new film, The Lorax and are featuring limited edition Lorax prints on all diapers and training pants with the intention of reminding others of the lessons of The Lorax. You can register for a free The Lorax scrapbook with the purchase of any three Free & Clear diaper products, until supplies last.

I just finished up a package of the newborn Seventh Generation Free & Clear diapers with my new son Wesley. Ironically they arrived a few days before his birth and came in very handy this past week. Because Wesley is approximately 8 pounds, he just barely fits into size 1 diapers of other brands but size newborn was getting a bit small. Seventh Generation diapers go up to 10 pounds and fit him perfectly. I’m sad to see the package gone!

I had no problems with leakage, even overnight with these diapers but did have a slight blowout up the back. It only happened once and was frankly to be expected with the explosive power of a breastfeeding newborn! I really like the tabs and found them easy to remove and reapply which was appreciated with a wiggly baby and the diapers ended up being much softer than I expected. The only downside is the darker color of the diaper itself which is due to a lack of color pigments added make diapers white. It made it a bit more difficult to tell if he needed a diaper change simply by look at the outside of the diaper.
