I don’t usually think of doing dishes as a way to relax. While I know some may find it therapeutic, I am not one of those people. And I certainly don’t think of washing dishes as a way to soften my hands. But Dawn offers a product meant to do just that with their Dawn Hand Renewal collection. It features Olay Beauty and improves the look and feel of your hands after five uses.
I received the Tropical Shea Butter Scent, and I found it to be very pleasant. It reminded more of a body wash or hand soap than a traditional dish soap scent. I liked it! It did help me forget, if only for a moment, that I was working with a cleaning product.
I love how soft and sudsy the water gets with Dawn Hand Renewal. It does a superior job of cutting grease, just as I would always expect from the Dawn brand. I love that my hands don’t feel rough after using this product!
Dawn wants to help us simplify our summer and indulge in simple luxuries. They sent me supplies to try an exfoliating oatmeal face mask. The process and ingredients are pretty simple. I couldn’t remember the last time I tried a face mask, so I was looking forward to trying this out.
- 1 tablespoon ground oatmeal
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 teaspoon milk
In small mixing bowl, mash banana into lump free pulp. I used a potato masher, but a fork would work well too. Keep in mind the riper the banana, the easier it is to break down. (Mine was a bit lumpy because I only had just ripened bananas.)
Wash your face with lukewarm water to open pores and pat dry with a soft towel. Using clean fingers, rub the mask into your face in a circular motion. Apply mask in a slightly thick layer so it has time to sink in. (Yes, I’m showing you my mask face in all its unflattering glory. Enjoy.)
Keep your mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash your face with warm water. (Do not use soap.) Splash cold water on your face to close your pores. Pat dry with a towel.
The mask was a bit messy to apply, especially since I did have some lumps left because of ripeness of the banana. My toddler was napping, but my other boys (ages 6 and 7) interrupted my bathroom session and freaked out a little bit when they saw me. “Mom, what is THAT on your face? ” It was tempting to chase them around the house, but I didn’t want to wake up my little guy. My skin felt soft and refreshed after my mask.
How would you like the opportunity to experience Dawn Hand Renewal’s unique ability to make dishwashing a moisture-replenishing regime for your hands and indulge in your own simple luxuries with this face mask activity kit?
