– butter – sugar – eggs – molasses – flour – baking powder – baking soda – salt – ground ginger – cinnamon – nutmeg – buttermilk – candy melts (white & brown) – powdered sugar – milk – decorating frosting (black & pink)

Prepare gingerbread batter and pour into a 9 inch round greased pan. Bake for about 25 to 27  minutes, or until it passes the “toothpick test.” Cool on wire rack.

Crumble cake. Make buttercream. Take 1/3 of buttercream & mix into cake. Shape cake into thick, flat circles. Melt candy melts. Dip stick into melted candy and insert into cake. Refrigerate.

Melt brown candy melts.  Dip cake pop into melted candy and place onto lined baking sheet. Refrigerate.

Decorate with buttercream in a decorating bag & Wilton #5 tip (or other smaller round tip).Use black frosting for the eyes and pink decorating frosting for cheeks.
