Karissa 2

It is with great sadness that I dedicate my Wordless Wednesday this week to a wonderful woman who is no longer with us, Karissa Gindling of Prissy Green. Not only was she a fellow blogger, she was a good friend who will be greatly missed. My heart hurts for what she must have been going through to leave us in this way. Rest in peace, Karissa.

I never thought I’d be doing another dedication post and certainly not so soon after Bryson Ross.  🙁

  1. What a great tribute to Karissa. I was devastated yesterday when I heard of this. While, I didn’t know her personally, I did follow her blog, and she just seemed like a down to earth, fun loving gal, you could tell by the smile that lit up her face. The world is missing a darn good person now, but god must have had better plans for her. As a life long sufferer of depression myself, I can’t tell you how many times that I wish I had someone to talk to and someone that would actually listen and beleive in me. Her passing has really hit me hard, knowing that had she reached out to someone, the situation might have been different, this is why I urge anyone who is suffering from depression, or just down on their luck, to reach out to someone , a friend, family member, or better yet, a mobile pysch unit, or the national prevention on suicide. This is what they are here for, and are highly trained for. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. If Karissa could see the outpouring of support, I’m sure she would have been touched. Heaven has gained an angel!! RIP Karissa! You’ll be missed, but never forgotten.

  2. I’m very sorry to hear about your friend. I honestly didn’t know her well, except she entered giveaways of mine. I’ll keep you in my prayers. ~hugs~

  3. Times are tough right now. Who would have known they were so tough for her. Always a smile. It’s hard to know what is behind the smile. I wish I could have been there for her. I too suffer from depression and really know that if you had for to long problems feel bigger then they are. Nothing is worth throwing your life away. Her pain had to be so deep seeded. wow this hit me so hard when I heard today. I have been out of town and just wish I could have done something anything. Really no one could have if they did not know.

    Find peace with God Karissa
