Ingredients

  • 9 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 pkg. 3 oz. JELL-O Raspberry, Cherry, or Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons Wilton Jumbo Bones

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Line 15x10x1-inch (or larger) baking sheet with aluminum foil, parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet to avoid sticking.
  3. Add popcorn to large bowl and set aside. (I used 1 and 1/2 bags of microwave popcorn)
  4. In small saucepan, melt butter and corn syrup over low heat.
  5. Add brown sugar and gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
  6. Over medium heat, bring gelatin mixture to a boil.
  7. Simmer 5 minutes on low heat, stirring often.
  8. Immediately pour over popcorn mixture and toss to evenly coat. (Mixture will harden quickly)
  9. Spread popcorn out on baking sheet, using two forks to break up evenly.
  10. Bake 10 min.
  11. Immediately sprinkle candy bones on popcorn, pressing down slightly with fork over popcorn. Cool.
  12. Break into small pieces and store in airtight container.
