Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
Last weekend I took some great pictures of our three year old son Lucian playing in the yard. I got one shot that I feel is contest entering good. He looks so adorable and the clarity/colors on the photo are fabulous. Right after I took that shot my son got kind of upset with me for taking his picture (which he randomly does) and said, “Stop taking my picture, mommy!” I clicked another one as he was saying that and seriously this picture is freaking me out. He looks night of the living dead scary and freaky and not like him at all. I’ve thought about posting it but it just creeps me out. Have you ever taken one like this or perhaps caught the light in such a way that it looks like a ghost is in the picture? And would you post a picture like this of your son on your blog? Because I almost just want to delete it and yet I feel the need to share it so others can gasp and share my horror. I’m torn.
Yes we have taken a picture of my youngest and it was kinda freaky looking.
Any kind of a FAT picture freaks me out!
I would not post the picture of your son. It’s not worth the guilt.
Have a great Friday!

YES..we have TONS of those! I take a lot of pictures b/c you never know what the kids are going to do! I wanna see the good picture though-post it!
Not that I can think of. Happy Friday!
I tend to make some faces in pictures that kind of freak me out. Thank God for digital! I can delete them!
Yes! With kids, I think that is going to happen at some point… especially if you have unhappy photo subjects.
I have my camera set to take 3 pictures right in a row because my baby moves around so much, which means that I usually end up with at least 1 where he’s in the middle of turning or spitting and more often than not looking angry/deformed/violent/like he has no eyes. I delete those. But now I’m curious and I really want to see the one you took!
I’ve had pictures with those big white spots that are supposed to mean supernatural things. It always happens in our home so that freaks me out.
yes ones that are important that have orbs or shadows in them after they are developed
Post it. I love unflattering pictures of children. Keeps things real. No one can be cute and adorable all the time. Lil’ D can be a ham one minute and a beast the next when getting his picture taken. Some of his crazy faces are the best. Hope you get to visit my Aloha post today. Aloha and take care.
I don’t think so but I sure would like to see yours!
LOL! I have a few of my kiddos where they look positively INSANE! Funny pics to torture them with for later in life—ha!ha!
I have only had pictures that were unattractive and/or blurry lol
Yes, I have taken photos that when I saw them I happened to catch an expression that really was not in character for the person I was taking the picture of.
I don’t think so. I’ve taken bad ones where there was movement but none that freaked me out.
YES…..I have several of my daughter that look just like my mom. It freaks me out because I lost my mom 3 years ago ….. It’s very sweet in a way, but always freaks me out first.
All the time! Haha!
Either the picture comes out and I’d look so terrible. Or the picture comes out, and I don’t look like myself (I’d look pretty, lol!)
I guess my own face freak me out. 😀
