Many thanks to Poise for sponsoring today’s story and keeping me confident!

I love being a mom. My kids are a lot of work for sure, but they’ve brought me so much joy! My first pregnancy was an absolute breeze. So much so that I wondered why so many woman complained about the difficulties of pregnancy. I figured I was just lucky. But each subsequent pregnancy was harder, and I found myself ready to have my baby earlier.  They also left me some changes to my body parting gifts like stretch marks. But the one thing I wasn’t expecting after my third child was some loss of control over my bladder. It isn’t a common topic of conversation, and no one warned me.  I had no idea this could happen because no one seems to want to talk about it, including me. Well, I’m blowing the lid off right here, right now. I deal with light bladder leakage on a regular basis.

So what?

It doesn’t mean I’m peeing my pants all the time, but it does mean that if I’m not extra careful I have light bladder leakage (LBL). It isn’t fun, but it is life. With a little extra discreet protection like Poise Microliners, no on has to know unless I tell them. And when LBL strikes, I’m ready.

Poise Microliners are the thinnest liners in the light incontinence category and are designed to absorb wetness, neutralize odor and stay three times drier than period liners.

And since they are so very thin, no one needs to know that I’m wearing anything at all, even if I’m sporting some leggings or skinny jeans. They are the perfect light bladder leakage solution.

I’m not alone.

One in three women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL), which can be triggered by everyday occurrences like coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercise. Many women rely on feminine care products or nothing at all to manage their little leaks because they don’t know there are solutions designed specifically for LBL or they don’t think incontinence products are for them. As the leader in the light incontinence category, Poise brand offers a variety of pads and liners to make it easy to find protection for every woman’s needs.

If woman were more open to talking about bladder issues, it would be easier . That is why I’m talking about Poise and LBL today. While I realize that some things are meant to be private and not brought up in casual conversation, it also means that those dealing with this problem have a stigma attached. Who wants to admit they deal with something others find a taboo subject? I had to ask a medical professional to know that it is very common.

Don’t worry about coughing or laughing too hard. Don’t pass up jumping on that trampoline. Just be prepared so nothing as silly as LBL keeps you from living life. Have confidence with light bladder leakage.

  1. I know my mom had the same issues and in her case, required surgery. Great products to have for women to help eliminate embarrassment

  2. After I had my third, I experienced the same thing. It is so nice that this is becoming an issue that can be talked about. Great to have a reliable solution
