Frankenstein Halloween Pizza with Classico + Giveaway

Classico asked if I would like to celebrate National Pizza Month this October by creating an “Elevated Pizza Night” with my family. It sounded like fun and since my family loves pizza, I thought it would perfect for us! Unfortunately my oldest and middle child are very set in their ways when it comes to pizza so I decided to elevate our pizza by making it fun!
Classico set me three varieties of sauces including a fire roasted variety I know my husband will love and a new white pizza sauce that won’t be available until spring 2014.  But since my boys are more traditional pizza lovers, I opted to use the traditional pizza sauce. The first thing I noticed when I was spreading the sauce was the little chunks of tomato and the wonderful aroma.  It was a bit chunkier than the sauce I’m used to but I really liked that aspect.

And since it was so close to Halloween, I decided to make a themed pizza. Rather than go for the traditional jack-o-lantern I see everywhere, I thought Frankenstein would be more fun and perfect for my middle son who in recent years became obsessed with him after wearing this Frankenstein costume.
This pizza would be very easy to create with a variety of toppings. The key is just to use something that is long and fairly straight for the mouth. Any sort of fresh pepper would work fantastic too but I decided on some mild banana peppers since my husband and I love them on our pizza. The best part of Halloween pizza is that you can just have fun with the ingredients and get creative with the toppings your family enjoys.
The sauce itself was a hit worked great as a dipping sauce as well. And we all loved the taste of the Classico sauce from a jar!
