The Juice with Kyra Sedgwick ~from Tropicana ~ {Giveaway}

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my Disclosure and Privacy Policy.

The Juice is brought to you by and in support of Tropicana Top 50 which contains 50% less calories and 50% less sugar. How sweet is that? (Pun totally intended…) You will find The Juice online community on BlogHer and according to them, this is where you can share your own practical ideas and tips on how to get more of what you want and less of what you don’t. The Juice is all about the “good stuff.”

I poked around the site and found myself listening to their yoga video with interest. I rather enjoyed that their questions and responses seemed a little less polished and a little more real. More like you were listening to your friends versus the nightly news. I finally learned why we do eye exercises at the beginning of yoga.

Here is a sneak peak of the upcoming episode airing Monday, July 20th and featuring Jory of BlogHer and Kyra Sedgwick from The Closer. (Don’t forget to turn up the sound!)

The Juice has given me a $200 Patagonia gift card to give to one of my readers! (Now that dear readers, IS sweet!)

Win it: Tell me how you try to be green or your favorite green tip. (Please no “enter me” or “I want to win” type answers.)

  1. I've been working on a little garden in our backyard trying to eat healthier and be friendlier to the environment. In addition, I've been loving recycling old stuff to make new fun crafts with my 2 year old.

  2. We try to be green by:

using stainless steel water bottles instead of plastic throw away ones.

    compost

    grow our own organic veggies

bring our own bags to the store

  3. We have curbside recycling in our city and boy do we take advantage of it. It's so nice that our city makes it easy for us to be green by offering it. We also have some reusable bages we take shopping with us.
    Thanks for the entry

  4. Our first change was the lightbulbs, we try to keep it simple with waste not, want not, and use and reuse.

  5. We recycle as much as possible and try to remember to turn off lights and unplug appliances when not using them.

  6. I've been walking to work. It's only about a 20 minute walk each way, but it saves money, gas, and I feel like I got my exercise for the day.

  7. My list would be too long — I've kind of become addicted to going green — so I'll just share my favorite.

I love line drying my clothes. I love the smell and the feel and that fact that they last longer. My 10-month-old loves how soft her cloth diapers are on her bum when their line dried. I don't know why the dryer was ever invented! Definitely an overrated "necessity"

  8. Green tip: re-use ziplock plastic bags (depending what was in them before, of course), and use canvas bags for grocery shopping!

  9. We nearly always bring home leftovers when we go out to eat. I try to remember to bring my own reusable containers to bring the food home in, instead of using more of those nasty styrofoam boxes.

  10. I use cloth diapers on my baby. I also use cloth napkins and dishtowels instead of their disposable counterparts.

  11. I try and change one thing at a time. First we started with light bulbs that were more energy efficient! Now we're working on switching our cleaning products to more "green" friendly ones.
