Not Me! Monday – #31

I love Not Me! Monday created by My Charming Kids so I’ll take this time to reflect on what I did not do this past week. Please take a moment to visit MckMama’s blog and check out what she has not been up to this past week!

While applying lotion on my freshly bathed 20 month old and being all distracted from my task being the silly mom that I am, I did NOT accidentally squirt hand sanitizer on my hand to rub on him instead. I wouldn’t do this even though the two bottles are near each other and I was going through the motions of what I thought was an easy task. If I did (not that I’m admitting ) I thankfully caught myself before rubbing it all over his sweet baby bum.

October 12 2009 022I did not fill this plastic Rubbermaid container that I normally use to transport milk with my morning coffee last week when I couldn’t seem to find anything else! And I’m certain if anyone had seen me drinking out of it I would have looked ridiculous. But if I did this it would have been because we were running late to get to our ECFE class and I hadn’t yet gotten my morning coffee fix. Sometimes you do what you gotta do…

I did not comment that it was getting chilly in the house (we live in the Frozen Tundra too!) and take a quick glance at our digital thermostat before saying to my husband, “Honey, it is only 67 degrees.” My 3 year old did not immediately say, “Mommy, that means it is getting really late!” (Our thermostat also tells us the time.)

  1. I am so glad I’m done with those baby years. The years that I was sleep deprived, always late and always in need of coffee! Who am I kidding I’m still doing it only with teen-agers!

    1. Not as hot as you’d think. I had shut the pot off about 20 minutes before because it had been on a while (still waiting for me to get to it) and I hate it when it starts to get bitter. I also like to add cream so it was more like pretty warm coffee, not hot.
