I love Not Me! Monday created by My Charming Kids so I’ll take this time to reflect on what I did not do this past week.

I certainly did not get enjoyment out of my 13 month old son Warren getting stuck in our bouncing pony. What kind of mother would I be if I not only laughed about it but made this poor child stay stuck long enough for me to snap some pictures as he whined and struggled to free himself before helping him out. I wouldn’t do that, now would I? I guess if I did that a picture might be shown below but since I didn’t that must be a figment of your imagination.
I did not use my sock to wipe up a couple of small drips that I made on the kitchen floor with my ice tea! I couldn’t have since the logical thing to do would be to wipe it up with something that I wasn’t wearing. My hubby would be in absolute shock if he knew I didn’t do this since he immediately gets a new pair when anything remotely wet even gets close to his sock.

Speaking of my hubby, I did not almost burst out laughing when I found out that while home with our sick son Warren, he asked his mom on the phone how to fold towels since he didn’t know how. I wouldn’t have thought upon hearing this, why not just quickly check our linen closet and see how the other towels are folded or does it really matter? The ending result was of course not entirely correct and even though I’ve been folding them a certain way for all 6 years of our marriage, he did somehow manage to not pay attention to how I like to fold. I did not just tell myself that it was nice he did in the first place while wondering why it is that he hasn’t folded towels in all this time. Hmm…

I did not laugh at Warren who got spastic when we were looking out the window together at nothing and his older brother decided to join us. Even though Lucian did not even touch him and didn’t encroach on his space, Warren still whined, grunted and smacked him lightly on the shoulder and back. I didn’t chuckle and almost forget to scold him in defense of Lucian. I wouldn’t find this remotely funny of course.

Please take a moment to visit My Charming Kids to read about baby Stellan who is currently in the hospital. My heart hurts thinking about what MckMama and the rest of her family is currently going through. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
