Not Me! Monday – #9

I love Not Me! Monday created by My Charming Kids so I’ll take this time to reflect on what I did not do this past week. Please take a moment to visit MckMama’s blog see for yourself that Stellan has been released from the hospital. Yeah!

I didn’t find it hilarious when Lucian was getting dressed and pointed to his nipple, “Look, Mommy, mountains!” After simply agreeing with him that they look like mountains but explaining they were called nipples, he did not pause thoughtfully before saying, “Oh, pineapples!”

Tonight I didn’t play the “game” with Lucian where he decides he is going to get out of bed and come into the living room announcing, “Let’s cuddle mommy”. We didn’t repeat this process about 20 times (no kidding) and even with me doing my angry voice he didn’t falter. So I didn’t keep this going because I refused to cuddle and give into his request and reward this behavior. I didn’t make the mistake of cracking a smile at one time when he looked at me and with a huge grin and said, “Let’s cuddle!” even as I was making my angry face and trying to be firm. I would never encourage him like this. Never.

When I was expecting guests and running around like mad to finish cleaning up I didn’t throw some cookie sheets random things down my laundry chute because they were about to walk through the door. I wouldn’t do this because my house is always spotless and I never cut corners. Nope, not me!

When eating sloppy joes Lucian did not get confused by the a little dusting of flour on the bottom of the bun and exclaim, “Oh no Mommy!”. When I explain it was ok, that was just flour he didn’t lick it with his fingers and decide it was “tasty”. He then didn’t proclaim, “I ate the flowers, Mommy!”
