Breakfast is an important part of our day. It is how we start our morning off right, together around our dining room table. On cool mornings nothing warms us up like some delicious oatmeal. My 3 and 7 year olds especially love Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal topped with raisins. During the work week, my husband needs items that he can store at his desk after he hits the gym in the early morning. He likes anything with protein and especially loves steel cut oats! And while we might all have our favorites, we can all agree that beginning our day with a full belly certainly starts us off at our best.
National Oatmeal Day
Did you hear that today is National Oatmeal Day? Quaker believes that everyone should begin each morning prepared for the good things that lie ahead. We make sure to have a good breakfast to get us off and through the day.
I try to give my kids a healthy breakfast every morning for the day ahead. During the week, it can be difficult when I’m trying to get my kids to the bus stop on time, but I so enjoy the weekends when we can slow down and enjoy a meal together.
We have toast and coffee.
We make sure we have time for a good breakfast.
Get ready as fast as possible and hope we don’t forget anything as we run out the door. Hahah. So true though.
I love making a hot breakfast to get my family going. One of our favorites is baked oatmeal.
We make sure to get up early enough so that we have plenty of time to get ready for the day without rushing and we eat a healthy breakfast.
My husband eats Egg Muffins that I make for him ahead of time, I end up eating cereal or whatever I find laying around. He does great, I could use some work.
During the weekends I make breakfast for the week and freeze them (breakfast burritos, waffles, pancakes, muffins) or I throw something in the crockpot – my kids love steel cut oats in the crockpot. We lay everything out the night before.
I’m a huge planner so the night before I like to have lunches made and clothing set out for the morning.
we start off with a glass of kefir!
We start the day with oatmeal. It’s Dads fav!!
I am very fortunate that I am able to homeschool our children, so there is no rush. My husband on the other hand makes oatmeal every morning to eat on the road to work.
We make sure to have everything together and ready to run out the door in the morning. Smoothies are a must as a snack for dd until she gets to school for her breakfast and for hubby and I – our breakfast most mornings!
We start each day with a good breakfast and a vitamin.
WE PACK LUNCHES AND PUT OUT OUT OUR OUTFITS. Thanks for the chance.
