Breakfast is an important part of our day. It is how we start our morning off right, together around our dining room table. On cool mornings nothing warms us up like some delicious oatmeal. My 3 and 7 year olds especially love Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal topped with raisins. During the work week, my husband needs items that he can store at his desk after he hits the gym in the early morning. He likes anything with protein and especially loves steel cut oats! And while we might all have our favorites, we can all agree that beginning our day with a full belly certainly starts us off at our best.
National Oatmeal Day
Did you hear that today is National Oatmeal Day? Quaker believes that everyone should begin each morning prepared for the good things that lie ahead. We prepare with a yummy breakfast, and by having clothes laid out and lunches made!!
We start out the day with a hot breakfast & good conversation 🙂
We pack book bags the night before, then I pack lunches in the morning, get ready and out the door we go!
We don’t really prepare as much as we charge forward every morning get up breakfast , get dressed, make lunches and run out the door
I make a hot breakfast every morning for my family!
We prepare the night before.
Honestly, lots of prompts and a bit of nagging the night before. LOL. I have teens now!
Oh and awesome oatmeal to keep them happy and WARM in the cold months.
I make old fashioned oatmeal for my wife and I every morning. My favorite mix-ins are bananas, walnuts, dried cranberries, flaxseeds, chia seeds, cooked quinoa, cardamom and honey. I also enjoy a chopped pear with dates, candied pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, flaxseeds, chia seeds, cooked quinoa and maple syrup.
I am going to step up for my Mom of the Year Trophy now…. My daughter is in High school and the bus shows up at 6:10 I am lucky to drag her out of the bed by 5:50 if she has time she grabs a granola bar if not she gets breakfast at school.. I hate mornings
We set out what were are going to wear and pack unrefrigerated items in lunches the night before so we won’t have as much to do in the morning.
We are the family that is guilty of hitting the snooze button one too many times lol. We love Quaker cereals and instant oatmeals to make sure we all get a healthy breakfast on our rush out the door!
I prepare as much as I can the night before since i’m not a morning person. So all I have to do when I get up is make the kids breakfast and my coffee then we talk about how the day will go!
We make lunches together and help pick out each other’s outfits.
I plan my routine ahead of time.
If we all have breakfast and leave with shoes on.. It’s a good morning;)
I make sure I have a variety of breakfast foods on hand so everyone can find something they like. I make sure everyone eats breakfast before leaving the house.
Thank you!
We prepare by eating a healthy breakfast together each morning. We talk about our day and what we plan on accomplishing. I try to sort out clothes before we go to bed as well.
My family enjoys breakfast, a nice shower and then gets on with the day.
We have a routine of making sure everyone gets a healthy breakfast, then we make lunches, and I walk my older son to school and we always talk about fun happy things on the way!
We have breakfast together every day and I’m happy to say that Quaker Oats are a part of many of those breakfasts and has been for years.
