Today is the first day of October, and fall has certainly hit in Minnesota. I love this season and wish it lasted longer. My trees have turned some amazing colors, even though we had crazy temperatures this past week. We experienced a whole lot of sun and a weekend with highs of 80. We have an acre and a half in town and my yard is definitely a kaleidoscope of fall colors. Beautiful, right?
I’e also been having fun with my little guy, Wesley. We’ve been busy picking apples and making all sorts of goodies during the day like apple butter, apple sauce and caramel apple bars. Have you seen the apple tree in my backyard? Apples, apples, everywhere! I love my two year old helper ,who is truly helpful. Plus he is learning all sorts of things in the process and working on those fine motor skills.
While I don’t look forward to a cold winter, I’m trying to simply enjoy all the wonderful aspects of the current season!

We love going pumpkin picking and going through the corn maze!
Raking leaves…some dislike it but it is fun for me and the kids love to jump on the mountains of leaves…Fun for everyone
wow, just so many things to do in the fall, grandkids and I love going to the pumpkin patch and picking out the perfect one to carve, we make apple dumplings to freeze. We also love going to all the fall festivals… and they get to pick out what they want to be for halloween… They also help in making their costumes… great memories for all

My favorite fall activities are going for walks with the family, going to the pumpkin patch and checking out the corn mazes in the area! So many fun fall activities and nice weather!
Seeing the colors change
We have a local farm who does agro-tourism. They have a huge pumpkin patch, you can go on a hay ride, and so many other fun activities. This will be our 3rd year going and I can’t wait!

Our family’s favorite fall activity is going to the pumpkin farm to pick pumpkins and eating all the great snacks there like roasted corn, popcorn, and cider donuts
