It’s been two months since we brought our baby girl home and she’s been resting not-so-peacefully in a bassinet in our bedroom since then. Those first weeks are a marathon of nighttime feedings, doing the zombie walk to and from the changing table. I had never heard of a 2-stage mattress before and was intrigued about how each side met the needs of an infant versus a toddler.
The Sealy Cozy Cool Hybrid 2-Stage Coil & Gel crib mattress combines the best of both worlds–a long lasting innerspring coil system plus a cozy soybean cool gel memory foam topper.
The crib mattress has a waterproof surface and binding which is essential for a little one. Easily wipe down the mattress for those middle of the night accidents. It also features hypoallergenic cushioning.
What makes this mattress unique is the cool gel on the toddler side.
The infant side is firm while the toddler side has the softer gel memory foam keeping your child cool and cozy. It fits in a standard crib and toddler bed frame.
Kate wasn’t so sure about this new crib thing for nap time on a warm summer day.

I really like the soybean cool gel memory foam layer I have a 2 year old that has a very cheap mattress from when she was a baby and I never even thought to get her a better one. She was the first baby and had no clue about much of anything. She gets very warm in her bed and it sounds like this could be key for her to be more comfortable.
