When it comes to snacks for the boys, we try to offer smart choices as often as possible. For example, yogurt is always a favorite in our house. All three of my boys will rarely (if ever) turn down yogurt. I feel good offering a snack that is packed with protein. And my athletic husband Joe is always looking at the protein content of our food and loading up whenever possible. It is important for us to offer snacks for our kids that will fill them up and still satisfy which is why I made this fun Strawberry Protein Yogurt Parfait last week!

Strawberry Protein Yogurt Parfait

When I found out that new Honey Maid Go Bites are baked with whole grains, contain no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors or colors and have 5 grams of protein per serving, I knew they’d be a great a option for snack time.

Honey Maid Go Bites Chocolate and VanillaBoth of my boys absolutely love this product. My eight year old loves the vanilla while my almost seven year old wants the chocolate. My two year old wants them both! These little crispy graham pockets are a great portable snack for when my boys need a boost. I sent some along last Saturday when my boys went rock climbing with Cub Scouts. Since they were eating a late lunch after the event, it worked perfectly to keep their energy going. They’ve also asked for Honey Maid Go Bites for a bedtime snack so these two boxes didn’t last long in our house. I’m happy to have another snack I can feel good about offering my kids.

I decided for fun to make a parfait featuring protein packed low-fat greek yogurt, Honey Maid Go Bites and some fresh strawberries.

Honey Maid Go Bites Crushed for ParfaitThis recipe is very easy and features just a few layered ingredients. I started out crushed chocolate Honey Maid Go Bites on the bottom. Then I added some strawberry raspberry greek yogurt, but almost any flavor would work well.

Honey Maid Go Bites with Greek Yogurt for ParfaitSome fresh strawberries are always a plus, so I cut up a couple to layer in the middle of the parfait.

Honey Maid Go Bites with Strawberries for ParfaitBecause there are 26 of these little graham snacks in a single serving, I had plenty of them I could crush and layer into my parfait. Of course I had to add more Honey Maid Go Bites to the top.

Honey Maid Go Bites Parfait LayersOne more layer of yogurt and a few more crushed graham snacks. To top off this parfait, I thought a strawberry rose would be extra fun. Since I’ve never actually made one before, I found a great strawberry rose tutorial to guide me. They are actually quite easy! (Next time I’ll pull the petals out a bit more.)

Strawberry Yogurt Parfait with Honey Maid Go Bites

This parfait has a whopping 16 grams of protein and less than five grams of fat. I couldn’t resist eating it up myself and was really surprised just how full I felt afterwards. And let me tell you, this snack is delicious. The Honey Maid Go Bites add a great crunch to the parfait. I really felt like I was getting a special treat, but without the guilt. Love it!

What flavor combination of Honey Maid Go Bites and yogurt would you want to try? I have so many ideas like the vanilla Honey Maid Go Bites paired with lemon or coconut greek yogurt to taste like a delicious pie! Give one of these parfaits a try and let me know what you think. This recipe looks so good! I would love to combine Honey Maid Go Bites with Vanilla flavored Greek yogurt, blueberries and shaved almonds 🙂

  2. Don’t you love those Go Bites, Emilie? My boys devoured them — the vanilla was our favorite flavor. 🙂 These parfaits look DELICIOUS — such a great idea. We made a 2-Minute Peanut Butter Protein Dip for dunking with our Bites. Also tasty. 🙂 Have a great evening!
