This was the year of combined parties for my little birthday girl (4). With large and/or very busy extended families, we go with the flow when it comes to party plans. After a beautiful butterfly party with my immediate family, we joined forces with my little nephew Parker (3) and had a full blown Toy Story party with their little friends from church.
Party planning can get expensive in paper products alone so I turned to online resources for the bulk of our supplies. We were able to get a great selection of products sent to us, courtesy of Shindigz! They offer the season’s hottest birthday themes at 50% off MSRP. We filled our online shopping cart with tablecloths, paper cups/plates, napkins, cupcake rings, birthday candles, a game, treat bags with prizes, and a massive rocket piñata!
To complete the full Toy Story theme, we rented a room at a local bowling center which also has a full arcade. We told the kids that we were going to Pizza Planet! The room was filled with family and friends which added a bit more chaos than I expected (I should have known it would be pure chaos!) but the kids had a blast. Nora and Parker each had their own alien birthday candle which nearly toppled the cupcake. We rounded out their sugar portion for the day with a treat-filled piñata. I love that these have ribbons on the bottom to pull instead of toddlers swinging bats. Only one of the many ribbons will rip open the bottom of the piñata and surprisingly Nora pulled just that string on the first attempt. With candy quickly covering the floor I don’t think the kids cared about their missed turn. Cups were filled and sugar buzz began. We gave each guest their Toy Story treat bags filled with goodies.
We all had fun with the Toy Story game. Each little friend tied a bandana over their eyes and made their attempt to stick a badge on Woody or Buzz. We let them loose into the arcade and we finished up the day with little ones buzzing around the arcade with coins and tickets. By the time our sugar filled guests were leaving (sorry parents!) I thought I might fall over. Who knew toddler parties were so exhausting?
We were thrilled with the quality of our Shindigz party supplies in every way. They were shipped promptly, packaged well and our order was complete. We got our Toy Story themed items on sale on top of the already low online prices which meant we could splurge on the Pinata and game. Out of our entire pack of supplies there was one little ring that was broken. Since we had plenty for all of our little guests it was no big deal. I tossed it and went on with the party fun. I’d consider using Shindigz for our party needs again.
You can easily find Shindigz coupons on their dedicated page that’s updated frequently if you’re looking for a deal. (And who isn’t?)
They offer over 36,000 products. Many items can be personalized including vinyl banners, candy bars, invitations, and more!
Here are some great ideas for party themes and supplies from Shindigz:
Birthday Theme Party
-
Dance under the stars at a star theme party or fill bowls with cherries and host a spring, cherry birthday party theme.
-
Pack a simple picnic and head to the skies for a breathtaking hot-air balloon ride your guests will remember forever. Choose a bouquet of balloons to give each guest when the ride is finished.
-
It’s a sweet sixteen favorite! Rent out a large, ornate ballroom at your local country club or hotel and decorate it in Cinderella’s favorite décor. Our princess party supplies, glass slippers, Cinderella standee and other birthday party themed decorations will turn your child’s fairy tale into reality! Offer carriage rides at the end of the evening and invite guests to wear appropriate attire for the occasion.
-
Bring the circus to your house! With the help of our birthday party themed decorations, set up a carnival party in your backyard and let the show begin. Bring in real carnival rides, hire clowns, have face painting and award prizes to carnival game winners.
