It shouldn’t squeeze your baby too tight or leave red marks. You’ll also need to check your baby more frequently. CHealth states that overly snug diapers can lead to faster cases of diaper rash because waste is held so much closer to the skin. However, your baby won’t develop diaper rash within an hour. In that amount of time, you can likely get additional diapers in the appropriate size. If you need more time, make sure to check your baby regularly.
