Wordless Wednesday – Baking Flour Monster

Anyone know where I can get a cute apron for a little boy? I’ve seen the frilly girls ones aplenty but I’m thinking my little man here can use one. He is big helper in the kitchen. And by helper I should say the little guy who begs to “help me” and makes a big mess but warms my heart while he does it.

And I’m hoping you are ignoring the messy kitchen dishes in the background because my house is always spotless. *ahem*

  1. He is too cute! I have also been on the hunt for a cute apron for a boy… I have not yet found one. My older son (who is 8) likes to “help” – beg me to make something and the moment I get everything out and ready to go, he is done “helping” and wants to do something else! 😉

  2. I always have a hard time finding handmade stuff for boys. I tried finding some cute boy themed key lanyards…not a lot of options. I’d say the same goes for boys aprons. Bummer! They should be made to match dad’s you know?

    1. I know! And who says hanging out in the kitchen is a girly thing? Are boys just expected to get messy so it doesn’t matter if they are covered from head to toe in flour??? 🙂

  3. Love it!! I have a ‘helper’ too and he usually ends up looking the same way, haha. There are some super cute boyish aprons on Etsy, have you checked there?

  4. He looks like he’s having fun! And I agree with the Etsy suggestions…there are so many great things there, you’re sure to find the perfect apron for him!

  5. We got this unfinished aprons from the craft store and The Dudes decorated them. One of the only crafts they actually had fun with and they still wear them today!

  6. Why don’t you make him one? It’s really not all that hard. You can put some iron on patches etc. Ooops there’s a new Post for ya too! LOL Have a great day!

    1. Ha! Thanks for the suggestion but trust me, I can’t sew. And when I say I can’t, I mean I really can’t. I never learned how. 🙁 When I was in junior high they changed things up and decided that all 7th graders took home ec with cooking/sewing and 8th graders took shop. (It used to be 7th graders cook, 8th graders sew) I was the transition year and had all cooking in 7th grade and took shop in 8th. And my mom doesn’t know much either. Sigh…
