Wordless Wednesday – Fawns

For those of you who regularly visit my Wordless Wednesday post you will notice something different. Yes, I have only one picture. Crazy, I know! I normally include at least a few pictures for your viewing pleasure but I just had to share with you these two adorable fawns.

I caught them relaxing, basking in the sun in our backyard. We live in town but have over an acre of land and it is not unusual to see 8 or more deer in our yard at a time. They don’t even seem to mind when we are outside and fairly close.

I used to say the deer were what has kept me from really having a garden or planting flowers since they love to nibble on anything and everything. But I’ll admit that is really just my excuse for not liking to weed!

  1. So neat! I have similar pictures of deer in my background! I love living in the country.

    Happy WW!

  2. We sometimes have them in our yard. There are a ton at a local state park and I love getting photos of them. Thanks for sharing this one!

  3. They are beautiful. I hate living in a neighborhood with a fenced in backyard sometimes because we don't get to enjoy the beautiful creatures of nature like that. My squirrels do not compare to those beautiful fawn. Happy WW!

  4. So beautiful! The kids must have loved them. We only have squirrels and birds. We are just under an acre, but the area around us is just too busy so the deer stay away. We have fun at my sister's in the mountains in Va though. She has bears, raccoons, deer, foxes, etc. I told her to start charging money and have people come to see her critters. Happy WW and take care.

  7. I love deer. This is a great shot. I have plenty in my area, but they rarely show up in my backyard. Happy WW!

  8. We also live in an area where deer sightings are fairly common but never do they relax in the field or yard. Great photo!
