Wordless Wednesday – My Husband is Full of Surprises

My husband and I share a birthday that is exactly a week (and four years) apart so we often celebrate at the same time with my family. We both LOVE cheesecake so I requested cheesecake instead of cake. My dear, sweet mother could not let my 30th birthday go by without something saying so in writing so she also made this fun checkerboard chocolate and vanilla cake special for me.
Here we are together, happy as can be as everyone starts singing to us.
And then all of a sudden out of no where my husband pulls this…
Can you tell by the look on my face and the cake in front of me what happened?
If you guessed he blew out the candles on MY cake out of nowhere you guessed right.
It totally took me by surprise as my husband isn’t one to usually play jokes on me or anyone for that matter. I guess he was just in a silly mood. (Maybe it was the new GI JOE shirt my sister got him that brought him back to his childhood days?) Now I look back at this and laugh but at the time I was just flabbergasted and grabbed his my cheesecake to blow out instead.
So there.
